Her heart shatters into pieces

The misery and despair
Becomes too much to bear

Is slowly going insane
As she tries in vain

But now reside above her.

Desertion
You left me alone
And now the pain has returned.
How could you do this to me?
I thought you cared,
I thought I meant something to you,
But apparently those were delusions,
Created by my own desperate mind,
Created by one who so desperately wanted
To be loved.
You built me up to break me down,
And I wonder if you're happy now.
Were your emotions real?
Or were they fabricated,
Like the happiness I forced before I met you.
You must be satisfied,
Having got what you wanted,
While I sit here broken,
An empty shell with no purpose.

Reveling in your latest conquest,

Naked Branches
One by one they leave
Like the leaves of a tree
During the autumn season.
They glide in the wind,
while I stand and watch,
Utterly helpless and unable to stop them.
They fly away
With pieces of my heart,
All throughout fall.
Until I resemble that
Of a winter tree
Stripped bare of its beauty;
Snow dripping from my branches
Like tears.
