Well, it depends what kind of job you get. Learn another language and become a translator. Those make good money. Also, engineering is another great option right now.
Pretty much what Kishy said.
No one has work ethic anymore. No one wants to work. We all just want to sit on our couch and collect a check from the government, but the country will collapse if too many people do that. I can only imagine those commercials are trying to encourage people to get off their lazy asses and pay for their own cable before we dig our own graves...after all, usually the people watching those infomercials are the ones on welfare.

This should be a rant thread where we can express true concern for our mortal follies.
Why just yesterday I saw an public broadcast telling me how wonderful having a job is because it will get me money.
DUH?!
What world do we live in where this infomercial glorifies having a job? Disposable income is not some heavenly, holy miracle of a consequence of having a job. Dionysus delivered us the ambrosia to taste and it's in the form... of a paycheck?
This commercial was not meant just to encourage and inform. It so ostentatiously imparted the impression that jobs are some sort of "miracle cure" to poor quality of living.
If you get a job, you will get money.
REALLY? PLEASE TELL ME MORE, MY IGNORANCE YEARNS FOR YOUR WISDOM.
Please correct any fallacies I may be implying here, and forgive me if I'm not totally correct here; if I have a job, I will have disposable income to my consumption or savings.
Share your grievances of the world.
