A friend of mine has a WWII era Katana.

Japanese officers carried swords as a sign of their rank in WWII, despite swords being nearly obsolete as a weapon at the time.

They're pretty useless against guns unless you're a hand over eye expert, because a hand over eye can block bullets with a wide sword by predicting where the opisition will shoot. Wich is very hard to do, but makes gguns useless if you're good enough, they usually practice with B-B guns and what I would call, a hunk of metal, also known as an axe-sword...

You do realize that every anime ever is 100% correct right?

All you need is a backstory, then just train a little with epic background music. After about 2 years you're strong enough to cut mountains in half, and yeah.

I should probably write a new story... but will I finish it?
