TREEhugger101 (2014-05-04 19:15:38)NEVER, EVER start with your character introducing themselves. EVER. This just makes me not want to read stories that have this. REVEAL YOUR CHARACTERS NAME, AGE, ETC. DURING DIALOGUE OR SOMETHING.
The reason why you never do this is because it makes the story more bland and stereotypical- not to mention it detracts from the readers' experience.
