Alright, I know most of you don't do much, especially anything that involves running, but I'm hoping that some of you are athletes. So if you are interested in athleticism, then here is the place to discuss it.

What is your favorite event?
What spikes(shoes) do you wear?
Will you be trying any new events this coming season?
What are your Personal Records (PRs)?

These are just some standard questions to get a discussion going, but feel free to comment on anything Track&Field related. I know this is going to die.

I used to do track. I guess you could say I retired after I "choked" right before the finishing lap. Dropped the baton thingy and everything...
I should probably write a new story... but will I finish it?
Anyway, I'm Aaron

Yikes, that must have sucked.
What relay was it, a 4x400?

That sounds about right. I was in the 3rd grade though. I got over it a little while later though

I could talk about freerunning all day. Running I don't know much about, but it's cool.

I wanted to try it, but I didn't get my physical in time. XP

Ugh, I gotta get my physical before lacrosse season!

@mega: Cross Country sounds painful

See in both parkour the main focus is shortcuts basically. In freerunning you can stop whenever you feel fit.
Cross country could help with my parkour!

@gamedaddict: Thats impressive... like really impressive.

Nope nope nope.

Cross country is basically just one event: long distance.
Track is everything.

Not the same, but then again, running is running is running.

spadeguy (2014-02-10 00:46:36)
yes. Well there's a slight difference between parkour and freerunning, but I do both.

For those interested show
Parkour is getting from point A to point B as fast as your body will let you.
Freerunning is pretty much the art of expression through parkour. Adding things to it such as elements from breakdancing or tricking.

Well it's funny how that works, I guess if it saves time then yes.

Youtube dude! Well I got the idea to start at Youtube, I began learning through trial and error with technique. After some time I found the freerunning tutorials on Youtube. I just barely have flips down though.
