If you want a pokemon that is shiny that is in a big field of wild grass. Your in luck.

There is a method called grass chaining where as you use the pokemon radar. (Found on the 2nd floor of the pokemon lab after beating the game)

Basically you walk into a open field of grass use the pokeradar. (You have to be using the d-pad not roller blading.) Go into the shaking grass and find shinies. Sounds easy right?


WRONG!!!

As simple as it may see there are many rules you have to follow and that is what ill be explaining.

First off shiny polemon will start to appear after 40+ ecounters of the same pokemon. You have to KILL or catch the pokemon. (I prefer KILL)

If you leave the patch of grass your chain will be broken.
If you roller skate your chain will be broken.
If you leave the game your chain will be broken.
If you find a different pokemon your chain will be broken.
Now Ill tell you the easiest ways to prevent this from happening.

First make sure you have the right equipment:
Poke radar-To find the pokemon
Repels- To not ecounter any other pokemon
Poke ballz- To catch your hard earned shiny.

First go into the middle of the field. Make sure you use the d-pad and use the poke radar go into the shaking grass. If the pokemon is not the one ypu wanted try again. (It'll take 50 steps to recharge your poke radar.) After you defeat your pokemon here comes the most hardest part of chaining. Knowing which grass to go in.
You cant just randomly go into any shaking grass. There are certain signs.

The most important is that it has to be "fast" shaking grass.
If the shaking grass is by each other it is not safe.
If the shaking grass is on a boarder it is not safe.(From my experiences ive noticed that i can find the same pokemon on boarders until i rach 15+ ecounters.)

Only walk into grass that is 3 patches away.
Knowing this you need to be in a patch of grass atleast 5 by 5 big.
I recommend route 5.

What do I do if all the shaking grass isn't safe or i din't pay attention?

Easy you recharge your poke radar. As long as you dont leave the grass and you dont run into the shaking grass you'll be okay.

How will I know if it's shiny?
The grass will sparkle and give off a pleasant sound.

What I run out of moves?
Going into the menu will not break your chain.

Also heres a good tip. Have your pokemon know moves that have 20 pp or higher so you can know many ecounters you have
