Autism and people with it.
OtherSilhouette (2013-08-24 05:04:08)Actually, i've met people who are autistic but are perfectly fine. But I agree that some people really need to learn to respect the differences of autistic people.
I think it's indeed very very sad and angering that people who know about autism are treating autistic people so bad.
However, I think you should not be mad at children asking "What's wrong with him, mommy?", because children just don't know much about diseases (and the world, generally). It's just new for them to see an autistic person and they wonder why he/she is different from the rest.

spadeguy (2013-08-24 11:49:26)I have autism, although my personality is changing from what it used to be. I still consider it a mental condition.
I should probably write a new story... but will I finish it?

When I was little, I avoided mentally challenged people like the plague. I was scared. No one ever told me what people like that are like...But I realized people with mental disorders are very interesting! There's always something very unique about them which usually makes them even better than "normal" people

Song_Of_Storms (2013-08-29 03:20:47)One of the biggest causes of autism is inoculation.
Parents take their babies and young children to get inoculated, but the problem is that the kids' immune systems and bodies aren't ready for it... So in truth, the parents are causing more harm than good in most cases...
But people need do need to understand the implications of being autistic. They need to imagine themselves in that situation and think about how they'd feel...
The ultimately need to get some friggin' perspective.
