300 seconds.. Go.

He quickly and quietly crept through a metal corridor, his goal was simple:

Take out the guards.

Pop!
Guard one, down.

The guard fell to the floor, hit. He continued onward, taking out another guard at an intersection. Left? No.. Right.
Pop!

Guard three, down.
Three more to go. He entered a small office, and exited through it's backdoor, getting another guard on the other side. Two more.
He faced two guards at once, but dispatched them easily, and entered a large, dark office. The lights flipped on instantly, revealing a tall, neatly dressed man.

"Good job, I didn't think you could make it this far. Without the cameras, I probably wouldn't have seen you coming." The man said. "Thank you, Mr. Gyles." Mr. Gyles pressed a button on his desk, and a loud "Clang" resounded throughout the building.

"Test Targets, Reset."

"Go meet your new team, they'll be in hallway 11b, first door on the left." Mr. Gyles said. "Oh, and Matt?" "Yes?" "Don't anger Trish. She's a lil' edgy these days." He winked at Matt as he left. Fourth day in the program, and I'm already on a squad.. Am I really that good? Or is it just easy right now? Matt thought. He found the room and entered.

It was quite homely, for a near-barracks style room. Two bunk-beds, as well as a desk, mini-fridge, and microwave were in there. A dresser was placed in between the two beds. There were three people occupying the room when he walked in:
A boy sat at the desk, apparently tinkering with something. A girl sat on the top bunk of the second bed, her leg hanging over the side, and another girl sat on the bottom bunk, listening to music.

The boy at the desk leapt up and saluted at the sound of the door, whereas the two girls remained ignorant of Matt's presence. "At ease, err.. Edgar, is it?" Matt asked the boy. "Phew.. I thought you were an officer. And yes, Edgar's the name!" He held out his hand to shake, and Matt took it. "So, care to introduce me to these Fine ladies?" Matt said sarcastically. "The blondie on top is Trish, she's head of the team. Really brainy, despite the blonde hair." Matt chuckled a bit as Edgar continued. "The red-head on the bottom is Ashley. She's the medic, and also the communications person." "And you?" Matt asked. "Me? Oh. Brown haired Tech-man." He said, smiling. "So that's the team, eh?" Matt said. He gave a whistle, which unexpectedly got the girls attention. "Oh, the new guy!" Ashley said happily. "Oh.. The new guy.." Trish said irritatedly. "Hello to you too." Matt said. "Anything to drink?" He asked, opening the mini-fridge. "Nope. It's all in the mess-hall." Trish said. "Wanna race?" Ashley asked excitedly. "Sure." Matt said. "Let's go!" Edgar yelled. "Yay." Trish said.

"Hey.. Where's the soda?" Edgar asked. "It should be over here, follow me." Trish said.

This story reminds me of all those action ones, Where at a certain moment, theres a lotta chaos. Which is cool, I like how you know what hes thinking and how everything is a mission to him. (Im talking about the part in the beginning where hes taking down the soldiers) And this reminds me of a book called The Legend, by somebody I dont remember because I read a lot of books. Anyway, The girl reminds me of this character, Tough, (And special, I felt to Mr. Gyles) and still a light personality. And the characters named after you, so yeah. =p

I'm not sure if I'm gonna continue this one. I aim towards "Comedic Action". This was simply a failed attempt (Or at least, I see it that way) of a spin on Tom Clancy.
