If time travelling was possible, the multiple timelines theory seems the most likely. If you'd kill Hitler in the past, you'd just create another timeline where WW2 maybe didn't start, but the old timeline would still continue to exist.

Time travel is possible.

If an object is moving close to the speed of light it will be moving relatively slower in time to something that isn't moving as fast.

Albert Einstein actually proposed this as the twin paradox:



If we had the technology to do so, we could create a wormhole in space, and take one of those ends and move it close to the speed of light. One of the ends of the wormhole will be further in time than the other, so technically by going through it you would be travelling back in time.

When you think about it, time is a simple illusion in itself. There's no such thing as it, it's just a fantasy invented by us to keep track of what happens when. Time is nonexistent.
