No one knows when SSB4 will be out. If you plan to get it on 3DS, then get $50 to preorder the 3DS version when it's available.

Besides SSB4, here are some download games I recommend:

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate will last you longer than everything that's already been suggested combined. I have over 100 hours on it and I'm not even halfway through.

^ I think you should leave him with more than just the campaign-length. A dragging single-player mode gets old after a while. Take notes. Put it like this- MH3U contains massive amounts of contents, so much replay value, and well-deserved satisfaction after patience and hard-work. That is how you would sum it up.

Kind of. The first half of single player centers around finding out what is causing dangerous earthquakes that are threatening the village. (Low rank)

After that it focuses on obtaining the Ultimate Mask for your minions. (High rank) I haven't beaten that yet.

There is a lot of dialogue and cutscenes, at any rate.

That is still only 2/5's of the game though, as then there are Low, High, and G-rank Port Tanzia quests which can be played with others or by yourself. Then there's also arena quests, and I must not forget the vast amounts of DLC that is 100% FREE!

More FREE DLC is added every week.

All the DLC is free. The game itself is $39.99.

The DLC can be special Port Tanzia quests, arena quests, Guild (Profile) Card backgrounds, and some other stuff.
