Leo's family was moving to a new house, because their old one was burned down. They lived in California. The only money his family had were in the bank, as they had left their wallets in the house as it was burning down. Leo's belongings had all been burned down too, but they had insurance, so it was fine.
Leo and his family walked over to his nearest friend's house. He stayed there until they found a new home. Soon, they had to leave. His friend gave him a car for free, they were very thankful.
Leo's family drove to Texas, in an old rusty house. Leo didn't like the looks of it, but his parents told him that they would clean it in no time. Leo started feeling suspicious.
Leo felt uneasy whenever he entered the house. One day, when he was cleaning, he found a little cabinet in a closet. It was covered in several layers of dust. He took it out of the closet and cleaned it, polished it, and disinfected it of germs. Once he had cleaned it, he noticed that something was engraved on it, in a language he did not understand. He ignored it and opened the cabinet. He found a shell and a rock inside. Thinking that the previous person to own this cabinet might have a collection, he threw it away.
Big mistake.
He started to have bad dreams every night, and he got emails titled with the same language as on the cabinet. Leo thought this was strange, indeed.
Leo noticed that every nightmare was the same. It was him about to be killed by a masked figure. A knife held so close to his neck, beads of blood appearing there. Whenever he woke up after the dreams, he would have a long scar on his neck, the same spot where the knife had been in his dream.
Leo was starting to worry. He didn't know what was causing this to happen. He was not a wise boy.
His mother's birthday was coming up. He didn't know what to give her as a present. Still not suspecting the cabinet, he decided to give that as a present.
It was soon his mother's birthday. He wrapped the cabinet and gave it to his mother. He went to get the cake when his father and younger sister started yelling and screaming. Leo hurried to the living room to find his mother somehow strangled, and dead. Leo called the police. His father told the police that she was somehow strangled by a ghost. Nobody believed him.
Rumor says that if you don't believe him, you will be found strangled, and dead. Repost "She was strangled by a ghost." on any thread. Please don't ignore this!
