The DS has now officially surpassed the original PS2 in terms of sales by selling 153.69 million consoles worldwide. The PS2 sold 153.68 million worldwide. Making the DS the best selling gaming device of all time.

The DS has sold 56.47 million units in North America, 51.78 in Europe, 33.01 million in Japan and 12.43 in the rest of the world.

Maybe one day we will say the same some day about the 3ds when Nintendo decides to pay attention to the rest of the world and not just Japan.
