Could an all-powerful being create a stone even he can't lift?

On what?
DarkHarvest (2012-12-07 01:59:32)
But if he can't lift it than he's not all-powerful now is he?
DarkHarvest (2012-12-07 02:03:25)
That isn't the question.
DarkHarvest (2012-12-07 02:09:58)
But if he's all-powerful, why would he need to become stronger?

I got this question from my world history class.

If he can create the stone but he cannot lift it, he is not all-powerful.

However if he cannot create the stone he is not all-powerful.

And this was suppose to be confusing.

The answer is Yes.
He'll just make one he can't lift, lift it, then make it bigger.
I should probably write a new story... but will I finish it?
Anyway, I'm Aaron

^ What he said.

He could make a really big stone, and then lift it. Then he makes a bigger one, and lifts it. Then he makes a bigger one and lifts it. Repeat this to infinity.

This is not really a paradox, but just is confusing because infinity is something not (easily) understandable.
