A Ratchet is just a Socket Wrench, which uses *Surprise!* sockets of various sizes [Generally in millimeters]

^ That comes from my knowledge of tools, since I'm in an automotive school right now.

Unfortunately, Ratchet in this case apparently means 'wretched', because rappers evidently don't know how to spell. Or pronounce words properly. Or dress appropriately. Or make a song where the lyrics aren't random. Or make a song that isn't about the same topics (Money, Drugs, Alcohol, Partying, Harlots, or the 'Thug Life'
