The Johto games offered multi-regional because back then Game Freak thought that they could connect the two regions together and thereby add to the experience. They didn't think of what they'd do should they add more regions at that point. The Hoenn region isn't connected to the Kanto and Johto regions, so I'm not sure if they'll offer multi-regional gameplay should they remake Ruby and Sapphire.

What I wanna know is where's the caveman

Ruby/Saphire remake please. Hoenn was my favorite region.
Is 3D polygon graphics too much to ask for also?

I kind of like the sprites, there is something charming about them.

Still, it's been more than 15 years, it's time for Pokemon to evolve.
