There was an in game mew event for Emerald that never left Japan.
You've probably seen it on YouTube.

The Azure flute thing that gets you Arceus in D/P/P was supposed to be a legit event, but it never happened and you can only do it via hacking the game.

There is a Darkrai reference in B/W 2.

The reason Red/Blue had so many glitches was because the GB carts had such a puny amount of storage.

In Johto, at the end of Turnback Cave after beating the game 100%, you can fight Red (character from Blue/Red). He looks like Ash and has the exact same Pokemon selection, even the same moves.

Each of the main Legendaries can talk (Lugia, Entei, Arceus, Mew, Mewtwo, Meowth X3).

Ash's original partner was supposed to be Cleffary, but they chose Pikachu (idiots...).

Mew can not learn every move, even though he is the Pokemon who created all other Pokemon.

My friends and I have had 25 battles with our Level 100 Mew and Mewtwo. Mew won 17 out of the 25, showing that Mew is actually the stronger one.
