Here are some details that just came out.
"Andriasang have been so good as to translate details from the official Japanese Bravely Default website. While at first we didn’t know if it was via local connections, online connections or StreetPass that other players’ characters could be asynchronously summoned as battle allies, it turns out it’s actually a combination of the three!
Either other players on your Friends List or random gadabouts you meet via StreetPass will be available. You can seemingly designate which move you want your character to perform when summoned into another player’s game, too. Not only this, but the more you summon a particular player’s character, the stronger that summoned character becomes, due to an increase in affection. Huey Lewis was right! That’s the power of love!
But there’s more. Siliconera have released their own indepth report of the new Bravely Default demo currently doing the rounds in the Japanese eShop. It’s an indepth overview of the class-based job system and the nuances thereof, and it seems this game has many a flexible battle strategy.
Here’s a breakdown of the juicier details that have emerged thus far:
The Superstar class apparently has either an Elvis Presley or a Bunny Girl outfit, and they’re sword-wielding songsters who can buff the party, as well as pass a Brave Point on to another character – effectively giving them another turn.
Red Mages dress in flamenco outfits, for some reason, and have the Revenge class ability, which gives them a Brave Point each time they’re attacked.
Mystic Knights dress in Arabian apparel, and innately boost magical damage output as their class ability.
Knights are the tanks of the game, automatically taking a hit on behalf of a character with low HP.
Freelancers have the Late Bloomer class ability, which powers them up more depending on how many previous jobs they mastered.
Cross-vocational skills add extra strategy. A given example is a Superstar that uses Red Magic and has perks that allow him the opportunity to automatically counter with a fire spell if attacked."
So, this information gets me more and more excited for Bravely Default, but not much is known if it will come to the West. Let's just cross our fingers that we get all these demos and details.
