Here is the info I managed to get,
"A version of Mutant Mudds is coming to the PC and will feature twenty extra levels. When asked if this content might come to the eShop as DLC, Jools Watsham of Renegade Kid noted that this is possible. Let's hope it happens."
So, in my eyes, I think that they will make DLC for the eshop one because it will increase sales. And who doesn't like more money?
