It's true. More than 5 mil. units have been sold so far. And that's only in the U.S.

Nintendo lost around half a billion dollars when the fiscal year ended, March 31st, due to the Wii's sales. Consoles like X-Box 360 are doing better now than Nintendo's home console. But Nintendo has taken a big step forward with the Nintendo 3DS, as it rolls in tons of money due to the many games coming this and next year.

The only reason the 3DS did bad at its start was because it had cr@ppy games.

3DS did have games such as SSFIV, Nintendogs + Cats, Dead or Alive Dimensions, and OoT3D.
All except Dead or Alive sold well too. 3DS having a bad launch is a myth. It set records for pre-orders and sold 3.5 mil launch week. It was the following months where it tanked. But it certainly didn't tank as hard as people would have you believe. Nintendo's loss wasn't just because of 3DS sales, but also because of the Wii dying out and the value of yen dropping.

^It sucked that OoT 3D wasn't a launch title. But yeah, the 3DS could have done a bit better. Only thing was the parent's regards about the 3D feature, the price, and the games, but I guess it did start off okay.

It saddens me how you guys don't do your homework, 3DS has tons of great niche titles, many were launch/launch window too. I would do some research on the Vita's library too, don't bag the system before looking at the games, Vita has some really good ports and original titles.

I already looked at Vita's games, only around 2 actually interest me. And the 3DS game launch line up being good is an opinion, believe me, many other gaming websites and magazines like GameInformer diss on the 3DS for not having a good launch line-up.

Critics are critics, they play the game to review it, not enjoy it. And the Vita has as wide a range of games as the 3DS if you're talking genre, there is something for everyone. Preferences are debatable, quality is not.
