Japanese magazine Famitsu has confirmed that the 3DS XL will be getting its own Circle Pad Pro, set to hit Japan later this year. No screenshots were given. Far as we know, it functions the same as the normal Circle Pad Pro, it's just bigger.

I think my normal 3DS gets alittle heavy after awile, I couldnt imagin playing with that beasty

@Cartiga-Because that would put the normal 3DS at a development disadvantage. If the XL had an extra built in Circle Pad, what about the 3DS? Nintendo doesn't want to replace it.
