You all remember all the gloom and doom from the price cut days right? We now finally know how Nintendo has come up, and it isn't all flowers and roses, but certainly is no where near as bad as we expected.
Nintendo predicted a 65 billion yen loss, but only ended up losing 43. 43 billion yen translates to about 529 million dollars or 327 million euros.
This is the company's first loss in thirty years. It mainly has to do with the Wii floundering for most of 2011, and the fact that they were selling every 3DS system after the price cut for a loss. However, Nintendo expects the 3DS to become profitable soon, so they should make a strong recovery.

And like I said, the 3DS wasn't the complete cause. The Wii and DS family did terrible in 2011.

It's just ever since the X-Box and the Playstationg came out, Nintendo's consoles were behind in technology, which lead many people to hating on Nintendo.

Nintendo hasn't ALWAYS been behind. The N64 had better graphics than the PS1, and the Gamecube had better graphics than the PS2. Not to mention the SNES was a beast. Yes, with handhelds they've always been behind, but the Wii was their first truly under-powered console.
