Spending Play Coins in the eShop?

No. That'd be like iTunes allowing you to use points obtained on a pedometer to buy music. Completely ridiculous. The games were meant to be bought with real currency, be it dollars, yen, euros, pesos, etc. Not lame in-system "coins" that you earn by WALKING.


As for the QR codes, they already have those. But don't bother thinking they'll release them FREE for stuff that isn't on the eShop. They gave away the download code for 3D Classics: Kid Icarus for the same price it would be sold for on the eShop itself later. They won't release stuff like that for free.
