Crush42- I don't need to play it because, in my opinion, the trailers looked like trash and the numerous reviewers that don't work as gaming journalists also mention the game has major flaws and doesn't help in changing my mind. It's fine if people like it, but you can't say that I can't criticize a game if I've never played it.

I like how most people haven't played Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric and simply say it's bad because they've heard terrible reviews and have seen gameplay from YouTubers and Twitch streamers, but if anyone says anything bad about Devil's Third, someone who's got a stiffy for the game comes out and tells them "Oh if you never played it, you need to try it." I'd rather spend money on a game that actually looks good in my opinion. Don't demand people to play a game that they don't want to try out.

If the game actually looked appealing to me, I would have preordered a copy a little while back, but since reviews weren't all that stellar, I chose to stay away from the title. I already made the mistake of buying Sonic Boom, so now I just pick and choose what games actually look good in my personal opinion.

1. Where did I say anyone needs to play Devils Third? Oh, right, I didn't. An 8/10 means that while it has my general recommendation, it's not for everyone. The game currently enjoys a 4.5/5 star average on Amazon, out of 43 reviews, so obviously, gamers who aren't used to getting paid to praise games actually like it.

2. If you're not interested in playing the game, that's one thing. Personally, I'm not interested in Splatoon, and having actually played a bit of it, I can safely say that even beyond its limited launch content mistake, it's not my cup of tea, especially at $60. However, I don't focus on the negatives of Splatoon, nor do I go around focusing the bad reviews (from people who don't even own a Wii U) to people who are fans of the game.

3. I also had the misfortune of playing Rise Of Lyric. It was broken. To try and compare that broken glitchfest to Devils Third is going too far, especially when, in your own words, you haven't even played the bloody game. If it's not your cup of tea, that's perfectly fine, but don't talk to someone who's actually played the game like you know better than they do about it.

It should be, but frankly, people want phenomenal graphics, even if the gameplay is lacking. After all, games like Fifa, Madden NFL, Call Of Duty and the like still make money.

I had fun with Black Ops, but MW3, BO2 and Ghosts ranged from dull and unoriginal to just plain awful. The gameplay is actually pretty decent, usually, but as mega said, it's formulaic, and the series never brings enough variation to the table.
