I take it you're an older user too. Well an abridged explanation of whag happened when you left is that apparently some guy was unhappy with the way things worked. Since he took the time to make rules, it was accepted as law. It's stupid...

Apparently you're supposed to have your story in parts. But they're supposed to be on the same thread. So you're expected to put all of Darksword in one thread. Even while people comment, and no matter how hard it is to find the next part.

That is spam and it is commonly frowned upon. Typically it's expected that you should pace yourself, and not post 100 paragraphs expecting someone to read them all.
