Actually, I'm not getting involved because there is one last assignment I need to work on this week. It's a DBQ essay and it needs to be perfect. It's the last thing I need in order to secure my 4.5 GPA for another 5 weeks. It's the last thing I need to finally be done with this week. After that, I can start chilling. If I'm going to be doing any formal writing this weekend, it's going to be that. Not this.

AP classes are weighted more than regular classes, such that they award one extra point. I have six classes, so each point is worth .1666. Now, since I have six classes, six As, and 3 AP classes (the class total is still 6 btw, becaue I have 3 non AP classes), then my GPA is calculated as follows:
(4)(3)+(5)(3)/(6)= 4.5
Questions?
Doesn't make me a genius. The people battling it out for rank #1 are taking 5 AP classes this year. I'll take 5 next year, so it's no big deal, but why are you impressed so easily? Doesn't your school give allow GPA boosts in select classes?
