It's just logic. It is told that he knows everything, past present and future. Suppose god were to ask you a question about what lottery numbers will be pulled. Given his "skill set" at the time of asking the question god knows the answer, your answer (along with if you're correct), and he is capable of changing the answer at will despite the seemingly random nature of it.
This means that when he's testing you, he knows if you'll fail or not. He is COMPLETELY AWARE of the result before he even considers placing you in the morally testing situation. Failing means he's most likely gonna see your true character which he ALREADY KNOWS so why even bother?
He either isn't real, isn't all powerful, or enjoys putting people through tough situations even if he knows it'll lead to them sinning.
