@Mewtwo21-Options are never a bad thing. Also, generalizing Xbox One games as interactive movies is very naive. Heavy Rain is an interactive movie. So is Beyond Two Souls. Call of Duty, BattleField, TitanFall, Dead Rising, are NOT interactive movies.

And forget PC. PC isn't part of this discussion. If you buy a $1,000 PC of course it will be "better" than a $500 game system.

But you want examples of innovation, and I'll give you some. The zombie AI in Dead Rising 3 is a pretty big leap forward. How about the physics in Fifa 14?

And you keep flip flopping quality and sales, when those are on opposite ends of the spectrum.

I believe the influence of casuals is GREATLY overestimated, they are mostly contained to phones. Most console BUYERS are usually somewhat core.

To be honest, the DVD, and Blu Ray features are useless because all systems will have Netflix, Hulu, (maybe Amazon), and YouTube, which you can watch movies for free/small fee.

@ pikarceus CoD and Battlefield campaigns are basically interactive movies as well. The only effort put into these games is in to the multi player aspect of it.

Improved AI and physics? that's not really innovation. it's just something you expect from a new console

that doesn't make them any less important.

@Mewtwo21-They definitely aren't interactive movies. Even if they are slow paced and over dramatic, you are still in control most of the time. It's not like Heavy Rain where you do more watching than playing.

The Dreamcast is the first entry to the 6th gen. And the reason why Sega killed the Dreamcast so early is cause of the PS2.
