This is my second thread in one day. New record, woot woot.
This literally happened thirty minutes ago.

So, okay. Cierra Story Time, kids.

My older brother (who is visiting for a week) dragged me outside to check out a dead raccoon by a tree. It didn't look very fresh- eyes were gone, fur was starting to fall off, but the body was otherwise whole. Or so I thought.
My brother hands me a shovel and I poke it, and it seems fine, so I flip it over.

And there sits the most disgusting thing I have ever seen. The flesh is all rotting and stinky (oh god it stank) and the skin is peeled open so that you could see it's innards, but I can't because everything is just COVERED in maggots and flies, writhing and squirming. Then I let out the loudest "HOLY SHAT" the world has ever seen and I have a reflex to kick it so that's what I do (involuntarily). And the thing just explodes all over my foot and at that point I was just hyperventilating with tears in my eyes from the smell.

Anyway, that's gross. I was expecting something sexy. As far traumatizing experiences go, I think I've yet to experience any. That, or they're just not memorable, but if they aren't memorable then I guess they aren't very traumatizing to begin with.

Well... I was actually chased by wolves once. I had a good head start (like I hopped a frickin gate and they kinda lagged with their hind legs), so I'm still alive, but yeah. Hint: Go to high ground. They can't go up things very well.

I can't feel trauma or negative emotions such as sadness. Either I've lived a happy, sheltered life or I'm incapable of it. If it's the latter I have a serious problem.

I did almost drown once, yet I'm completely in love with water. I still can't swim.

I think I'm just foolishly fearless.

...that's where I understand. If I kinda like being afraid, is it really fear? There are some minor differences, so I don't completely understand.
