Angry?
No. Depressed described his current mood. How else could he feel. A lot of mankind was gone by this point, a flesh eating virus was spreading, and the worst part was that he sacrificed himself so that his crew could escape. He didn't expect to survive, he just wanted to kill as many as possible... yet here he stood, well he was sitting cross legged, with his lacrosse stick in hand, slightly larger than him. In front of him lay a large crowd of dead zombies...

...so now what...

Here's what, I'll take you back to the beginning so that you could get a broader view of just what happened. Aaron made all the right choices, and look how he turned out. Well this story is gonna highlight what he did correctly, and it can serve as a helpful guide to learning exactly how to live in the Zombie apocalypse.

Day 1

The first day began fairly normal for Aaron Fair. It was spring at NewHope boarding school, and Aaron was psyched for lacrosse season. He had his short pole, (lacrosse talk for a lacrosse stick 40-42 inches long), and was running across campus to get to the field.

Past the various large dorms, groups of boys and girls talking outside of their crazy plans for spring break, and hipsters playing frisbee, Aaron ran with his short-pole in his right hand. The spring air was refreshing.

One of his friends, Jill, happened to be running the opposite direction. They stopped to chat for a seconds.

"Hey!" Aaron said happily, "What's up?"
"Ugh..." Jill said, "Archery club today. You should join, I've seen your lacrosse games and your aim is pretty spot on! Oh wait, are you going to Amy's party?"

CRAP! How could I forget about her party!? I'm supposed to bring food! Aaron thought to himself.

"Uh... yeah! I'll catch you later though, lax tryouts!"

They fist pounded and continued along their respective days.

Aaron hadn't run even 2 more minutes before noticing something strange. There was a circle of people surrounding a girl who seemed to have fallen unconscious. He'd have helped but he was almost at the field. They had it under control... for now.

This is the moment that would haunt Aaron for several weeks.
I should probably write a new story... but will I finish it?
Anyway, I'm Aaron

Yeah, it's cool. Can't wait for the next chapter. Make them longer next time, please?

I will, this was a bit rushed. When the zombies are actually introduced things will be longer... and everyone gets screen time soon enough

Aaron had waited at the lacrosse field for 3 hours before leaving. There was nobody there, save for a few seemingly drunk people staggering about. They had the facial expression of someone asleep and they wandered aimlessly in no set pattern. Obviously not strange at all.

Aaron picked up his lacrosse stick and decided to turn back. He knew there had to be a reason why nobody showed up. Maybe it was cancelled. Maybe he'd go set up Amy's party. He began walking back. The only thing strange he noticed was a lack of people outside. Had he payed more attention to the fine details he'd have noticed the puddles of blood that replaced the unconscious girl and bystanders. No matter, he continued walking past hint after hint that he should probably run away. Soon enough Jill came running towards him, with a crossbow holster ed to her back and a satchel full of ammunition.
The frantic look on her face was enough to draw Aaron's curiosity. He would have asked a question but just at that moment Jills eyes widened in horror. She pulled the crossbow from over her shoulder and aimed it at his head.

"Say something." She said bluntly.

"W-wait! Don't shoot!" Aaron said, staggering backwards and shutting his eyes, "AT LEAST USE SOMETHING PAINLESS!"

"Good..." Jill exhaled, flipping her weapon back over her shoulder, "So you're not one of them."
"W-wait what are you talking about!?" Aaron asked, still shocked by Jill's readiness to put a bolt in his head.

Jill smacked him in the face, leaving a nice handprint for about five seconds.

"WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN FOR THE LAST THREE HOURS!?!!?" Jill shouted, before lowering her voice.
"*ahem*Sorry about that..." she said quietly.

"Its fine," Aaron replied while rubbing his cheek, "I've been sitting down for about 3 hours."

Jill held back the urge to scream, although in her head she probably smacked him about 10 more times.

"Aaron... there are actual zombies on our campus..." Jill pointed to a lone figure off in the distance, staggering towards them. An unsuspecting boy turned the corner. The zombie lunged forwards and within seconds the boy was dead.

"The real thing." Jill emphasized.

Aaron didn't know what to feel. A part of him was scared, horrified at the thought of having to play a game of cat and mouse with a group of cannibals. However, another way of life wasn't possible now, and the gamer in him knew that. The gamer within him was ecstatic at the thought of a zombie apocalypse to take him away from the monotony of school and the like. He didn't know what to say. The wrong response might get him smacked in the face again. He noticed he dropped his lacrosse stick, so he lifted it up and nodded at Jill.

"Let's go." He said, "We're gonna get out of this campus. How many of our friends are still alive?"

Jill shrugged.
"How should I know? I know that the archery club was massacred by zombies, and I escaped through dumb luck."
She patted the satchel at her side, "I got lots of ammo though!"

"Good enough. Amy must be at the shop... but that's a while away! Damn..."

Suddenly a hissing noise could be heard before a large hoarde of zombies began to rush towards them. They began to sprint away, as they knew any attempt to kill them all would fail. The only path of escape seemed to be through the campus main dorm.

...and that would practically be impossible...

Don't forget Kane. He's pretty much KJ, except in story form.

It'd be a bit early for that though, huh?

Yeah, I'll put him in the story at a later point.

Aaron expected the lighting in the main dorm to be eerily sub-par, but unlike the video games, that wasn't the case. The main dorm was more of a zombie creation station. Since it was the place the campus tour guides wanted people to view most often, it was the nicest and therefore had the most people there at the time of the initial infection.

Aaron led the way, slamming his lacrosse stick into any zombies in sight so hard that they fell limp. Jill stayed close preserving her ammunition by only shooting at the zombies posing a potential threat to Aaron. This was the cycle for several minutes, and it worked in the sense that it got them through most of the rooms in the main dorm.

It was only the campus entrance that posed some potential threat. The walls were stained with blood, still slowly running down the wall. The front door was not an option, as zombies were feasting directly in front of the door. Jill slid behind a couch, and Aaron followed suit.

"We need to be stealthy." Jill strategized, "There's wide open space in here so they'll be able to sneak up behind us, but if we can take down a few zombies with stealth we should be okay."
"How would we do that?!" Aaron asked, "There are like twenty zombies in there!"

Jill paused, scanning her surroundings. Aaron was correct, exactly twenty zombies were across the room, to distracted by their feast to notice the entry of two more eligible meals. She noticed an emergency exit roughly 15 away. This was however a risky plan though as it would emit a shrill ring when opened, loud enough for about half of the campus to hear (as evidenced when Aaron accidentally opened it a week prior). The zombies were awfully close to it as well, about 4 feet closer than her current position, meaning they'd need to be distracted for-

"At least 4 seconds." Jill whispered aloud, "We need at least four seconds of them being distracted in order to escape through that emergency exit." She pointed to the emergency exit.

Aaron looked around, distractions were his specialty. He looked for anything he could throw, with some weight, and noticed a paper weight just out of reach. That's when a lacrosse stick comes in handy. With a flick of the wrist he had it in the netting of his lacrosse stick.

Jill nodded, then put a thumbs up before whispering a countdown.
"Five... four... three... two... now!"

69 mph.
That was the speed in which Aaron could hurl an 8 pound shot put with that lacrosse stick. This paperweight was practically nothing. It could be heard whizzing through the air and through the window, even over the canniballistic smacking of zombies. They halted, and looked in the direction of the loud noise, giving Aaron and Jill enough time to escape. They burst through the door and bolted away from the entrance towards a nearby van driving towards them. Aaron going out of his way to massacre any zombies he felt he could with his lacrosse stick. The zombies from the campus were now rushing them, and it wad evident that the van had stopped moving towards them. It drifted into a complete 180°, then stopped. A familiar character exited, holding a large axe in one hand and an ice pick in the other.

It was Amy.

The speed in which they were running before they recognized it was Amy was pathetic in comparison to the Extremespeed they displayed afterwards. The zombies couldn't catch up, and some even tripped trying to. They waited until they were all in the van to begin speaking. Jill took shotgun and Aaron squeezed between supplies in the back seat.

"So guys, nice weather huh?" Amy said sarcastically, handing Jill the ice pick and axe. "Guess who I met recently!"

While Jill was awestruck, the van began moving. The pick she knew belonged to her, a souvenir her brother had gotten from his travels in the military. The axe though... she feared what it could mean. Her brother had gotten that axe in her fathers will, and he took it with him into the army. It even had their families last name on it. Either her brother was dead, or he just wanted her to see he was okay.

"W-where is he?!?" Jill asked nervously, "Is he okay?"

"You can ask him yourself in a couple of hours. We're headed to an army safe zone! There are actually a lot of survivors there!"

Aaron sighed,
"They'd better not make this too boring."

Think is getting really good. Try not to focus on the story too much, your finals are more important. :3

The next chapter is going to be great.. I can tell..
