New Super Mario Bros 2-Local, no online.
Pikmin 3-Local, no online.

Seems Nintendo is still behind.

Let's look at the facts

With local, you can only play with people near you. With online you can play with people near you and far away. Nintendo seems to assume that my life is full of people who like and play the same games I do. If they really think that, they're ignorant. Nintendo, why can't I play New Super Mario Bros 2 with my 3DS friends? Hmmmm?
It's times like this that I wish for a Vita, a system that doesn't have a half-assed, stripped down, and often absent online. Reggie claims gamers are insatiable. That's not true at all, we aren't insatiable, just starved from Nintendo making us wait months and months and months for a competent online service. For those of you who expect a serious NN 3DS rollout this holiday, expect to be disappointed.

And sorry if had offended you Nintendo fanboys fans.

I agree. Nintendo really needs to step up their online game. They even claimed they couldn't patch MK7 online, yet after several death threats they banged out in update in a few days.

The reason why they won't put online in some of their games is because in the drop of framerate that's the prob with pikmin 3 they were thinking about it with that game but as far as the the games go I don't know but it might be the framerate issue as well. Pika you have a point and I agree some of these game fit really well for online. Later on, possibly the next 4 or 5 years maybe less we'll probably see more things in the form of nintendo network co-op multiplayer/ DLC type of deal.

But online was invented to have more fun. Playing with others is more fun than playing alone, is it not? That's why when you don't have any friends beside you, you can play over the world.

You trust Gamestop? Lol. They told me KI:U would come out November 2nd, 2011. You guys don't get my point. I'm not saying single player games like Zelda need online, I'm saying that games which already have local have no reason for not having online.

the reason why doea games dont have online gameplay is because it isnt neccary not everything needs online gameplay especially for nsmb2 why would even need online for that! pikmin 3 didnt get online play because there would be too many pikmin on the screen and it would possibly lag

Again, local is A FORM OF MULTIPLAYER. Online is A FORM OF MULTIPLAYER. Why should we have one form of multiplayer without the other?
It's like having a PB&J without the PB.

The reason I love my 3DS so much is because it is MINE. I can do whatever the I want to with it, but with Wii my family butts in and honestly they all suck ass in gaming and can't tell the difference between N64 and Wii graphics, probably don't even know what graphics are. Hell, the only Wii games they play are the ones where you have to shake and tilt the Wiimote around like an idiot. Just Dance 3, Mario Kart Wii (They use crappy tilt controls over proper controls), Wii Sports, Wii Sports Resort, Club Penguin Wii (Lol), get the idea? It'll be the same story with Wii U, they'll probably even block Miiverse since they are onlineaphobic.

I have a wii but the only one who plays it is my brother. That's pretty much whatever he does when he plays video game's is COD Wii, and when I'm about to get on it and I go in there and see him on it I'm like t(;-;t)
