Ever saw someone who you haven't seen in a while?

Have you seen a loved one and haven't seen them for years, and I mean like about 8 or more years?

(although in the middle will be a bit off topic and is too long, so you dont have to read it if you dont feel like it)

I have and It happened two days ago. I went to see my uncle (my real dads brother (I have a step dad and ill explain what happened to my real dad)) and It was been over 14 (was almost about to be 15) and when he saw me, he was crying (which is pretty understandable because he didn't knew what i looked like now, the last time he saw me was when I think I was like three in Puerto Rico). So yeah, what happened to my real dad is that he is in jail for doing things like stealing and doing drugs and other things and he is in Puerto Rico. I never saw him since when I was also three and none of my families know any news about him now. But soon, Im gonna go to puerto rico and see him if we can. Although I dont know how to speak spanish, but I will try. So yeah my uncle moved around new jersey not too long ago and we are like two hours away from his place. He was so happy to see me and he gave me $150 when we were leaving.

I know that he kinda messed up, but he cared about me and my family. after he was doing drugs and all that stuff, he didn't want to be around us (us as in me, my sister, and my mom). why? because he was scared if he was going to hurt us or something bad to us @Applebucker

I have a half-sister who I haven't seen in a long time. When I did see her, she'd kinda just give a lazy wave and orherwise ignore me. She denied any relationship to me for a while too. We never really bonded so I don't really care, I guess. I'll be in her school next year.

Relatives be like:
"Aww I haven't see you since you were a baby."
"You remember me?"

There are just some relatives I have that I haven't met for like 10 years, otherwise, we're all informal with each other.
I have just 4 relative families living in my city, the larger part of my relatives live in Karachi. We don't visit Karachi, but they always come to visit us. There are some of my cousins there, no matter how many months/years we don't see each other, we would greet like we live together.
