(Put in miscellaneous as this applies to YouTubers every bit as much as gamers, and is important information for both types of parties)

So many of you know Nintendos dictatorship-like YouTube policy; if you do, safely skip to the next paragraph. For the rest of you, Nintendo is very strict about its intellectual property being advertised on YouTube; in order to use clips from their games (and Miitomo, now, too), you will have to register for a partnership programme, which gives Nintendo all revenue from your videos (...) and gives you a cut of advertising revenue from eligible videos.

Now, I've been doing research (as much as I can) on this matter; no real clear answers are given. However, by putting pieces together, it seems that, outside of a blacklist of titles, you still can upload game stuff from their consoles. Basically, it's like this:

You have a Nintendo 64 and want to do a Let's Play on DOOM 64? Go for it!
You wanna show off just how difficult Ninja Gaiden 3: Razors Edge is? Nintendo can't touch you!
You want people to see how bad you are with your hard-earned cash by displaying your copy of Watch_Dogs on the Wii U? You may need to get evaluated, but The Big N can't stop you!

In fact, here is the blacklist; given some information found on the website, it seems that as long as the game you're playing isn't on this list, you shouldn't have to worry about Nintendo interfering. As I don't have direct confirmation, I can't guarantee this is exactly the case, but it's the closest thing to an answer I've got. If anyone can confirm or correct any information presented here, I will update accordingly.

Yeah.

Worth noting; the list doesn't include recent hits like Bayonetta 2, Devils Third, Xenoblade Chronicles X or any of the Super Smash Bros. games. Just throwing that out there now, although the list is subject to change.

Not trying to sound like a prick, but Devil's Third wasn't particularly a "recent hit". It sold poorly and recieved mixed to negative reception. I'm not gonna sit over here and say Rodea the Sky Soldier was a "hit" because I personally liked the game. Rodea did poorly in sales and also recieved mixed and negative reception.

In the grand scheme of things, Bayonetta 2 and X Chronicles X haven't exactly helped the Wii U situation, either. Hell, the new Smash Bros. sold pretty well, but not even hitting the 5 million mark (as of March) means it wasn't necessarily a success. Plus, DT wasn't received well in the West, and didn't see a wide retail release in America, but it did really well in Japan, all things considered. So, yeah, singling one game out when none of the titles I've mentioned have been as successful as Skyrim or Call Of Duty: Annual Warfare makes you sound kinda like a prick. Not that this response is making me out to sound any better, but still...
