My final thread in the series: If you could see or direct one film adaptation based on a book, video game, programme, etc., what would it be?

For me...
Book: A proper adaptation of The Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy.
Video Game: Either a proper Dead Or Alive franchise, Senran Kagura, or The Legend Of Zelda.
Programme: Doctor Who.
Anime: El Cazador De La Bruja.

I don't know if you guys are aware when it comes to Anime and cult classics Most filthy casuals won't understand but Ghost in The Shell, the manga series by Masamune Shirow and then further adapted by Mamoru Oshii which is as the stepping stone for all the other side series (ARISE, Stand Alone Complex, etc) is getting a Hollywood live action adaptation. It's being directed by Rupert Sanders of Snow White and The Huntsman (not sure on this one, could be another film, need to check sources at 10PM orz) and there are several other smaller people who aren't as known working on it. There isn't much said about it, other than that "Plot synopsis is this" and that the cast is a thing. Oh, that and Scarlett Jo.

It's something that I've wanted to see for a decent period of all time, and when I go to see it next year (as that's when it's slated for release), I won't be crying over it if it's bad. It has spawned a lot of controversy regarding apparent information leaks, that and the elitists of Oshii's work can't accept anything other than 1.0, but that aside it's just a film. The whole whitewash claims for the film aren't exactly holding up with the actual logic of the anime and that pisses me off quite a bit. People blindly post and don't actually research.

It's the things like these which irritate me over some theatrical adaptations, and it's not just anime that gets this crap.
Anywho, there's my two cents on the topic.

Too Long; Did not Read! -- excited for GiTS Live Action, won't cry over it if it's and basically pointing out all of the triggered people need to do research.
