Remove Lani as CM
ZarktyArk (2016-04-13 18:20:35)Why not me for mod?
I'm a respectable person.
I have sense.
I know when to stop.
I'm not as sexual as some users on Plaza.
Pls
Asriel_Dreemurr (2016-04-13 18:24:03)^ I bet 5000 3DSPoints that this is gonna be locked.
I already sent rob a message and he says
"I haven't heard any complaints about Lani until now."

xXSaMiXx (2016-04-13 18:49:30)I don't think the point of this is actually for other people to become mod but for a better CM to be chosen.
It's a yes or no matter not a "i wanna be mod/cm" kind of thing. I think all active users should vote yes or no on wether or not lani should be cm
She's not a very good cm, she's inactive and she's letting inactive mods stay mods, and the community is just sort of falling apart
^ Isn't that kinda like letting people vote for who should be mod? You know, the thing that ended up being the worst decision?
Just a note: even though this thread addresses a user (which can be considered personal), I will leave it as-is just in case the CM or the admins wish to pitch in.

No, Lani is a great CM and very intelligent. Most of what you said is just completely false and I won't bother addressing it until you give actual examples and evidence. You're just stating things like they are facts without expanding on them at all, then expecting people to agree with you.

Oops, almost forgot. These types of threads (threads adressing one person) are not allowed.
Whoever opened this again, please note that it is against the rules to make threads about certain users. Sorry if you disagree, but this is the way it is.
Edit: @Lani My mistake. I should have figured.

^ Sorry, I was trying to reply to this
I just want to share my two cents here instead of ignoring this and leaving you all in the dark with your own presumptions.
I certainly haven't been as active as I used to be as of late, and I was expecting something like this to come up eventually because of that. However, despite inrl duties requiring more of my attention, I could/would be more active if I felt as though I need to be.
I believe that I have selected reasonable and responsible moderators who are active for a sensible amount of time each day. I've been popping in every day to check on the status of things and so far I have found things running smoothly...I see no evidence of spam attacks, drama, power-raging mods, or rules being ignored without consequence (except during late hours, which I will get into that later). Whatever drama does go down I trust that the mods are handling it well considering that I never hear of any complaints on such matters, nor do I see any issues the moments I am watching. From my perspective, everything is going reasonably well (for Plaza's standards), with or without me sitting in the chatrooms being "active". Unless I'm strictly needed here at all times, my inrl needs are my priority (as they should be, for all of us).
Now to address your other complaints more specifically...
Ignoring helpful users/The situation with night mods show
As for "setting bad examples".....Out of all the criticism I've received (whether with good or bad intentions) "setting a bad example to mods" was never among them. It kinda seems like you pulled this argument out of your butt and I just can't find a way to apply it to myself.
Also, it really shouldn't be necessary for me to personally follow a new mod around everywhere and tell them when and who to warn and whatnot...I've written a guide (training guide, if you will) for mods to understand what's expected from them, and how to handle certain situations. I realize the mod guide isn't common knowledge, but I'm not sure what more you expect for training.
Some things just can't be taught, and new mods will catch on eventually. That's also why it's encouraged for veteran mods to correct new mods if they misjudge or something of that sort.
To make it blunt...You guys are never going to be happy with any CM because you have unrealistic expectations. Just slow down and think if your complaint is realistic. Is the crumbling population actually due to the community management? Is it something the CM could actually fix? If the realistic answer is "No", then quit blaming it on the CM. Instead, think about a realistically ideal CM, and share those thoughts somewhere because that would be interesting, actually.
Also, please stop using "there's like that 1 inactive mod that never gets demoted" as a reason to burn the CM at the stake. That literally doesn't make any sense as to why that's demote worthy...that mildly inactive mod isn't doing anyone any harm.
Anyway, I'm not trying to "win anyone over" or justify my position here (well, partially I am for that one). However, I do think this proposition isn't exactly fair, as I don't see how selecting a new CM could change anything for the better, because I truly think things are going as well as they can.
If you still disagree, I'm intrigued to hear why...my PMs are open.

As most of you know our current Community Manager is Lani, it seems she isn't doing well. She is ignoring people trying to help, shes rarely active, shes setting bad examples for mods and not teaching a new mod properly not to mention we don't have the best mods. So if you have kik or facebook message Rob's kik at Robdeprop or Rob's Facebook Rob van den berg with anything you can think of a complaint to him, if you also have screenshots that will be great. Hopefully if we get enough complaints we can get a better Community Manager thanks for your time.
