The Ace Attorney Anime
Nutsy (2016-04-07 10:44:55)It's an adaptation so of course they're adapting currently existing cases.

Bean (2016-04-08 20:00:45)It was... ok for anime standards.
@mega
I 100% agree that the 3D effect is gross and should burn.

Sackacuga (2016-04-09 21:03:04)I agree with you also on the 3D effects in anime. I wouldn't mind if it was a game, but I cannot stand watching 2D animus and then transitioning it to 3D animuish models.
Also, episode 2 came out. Gonna download and watch it right after this post.
Sackacuga (2016-04-10 05:04:55)Now that I've watched the second episode, I do like one other thing: Viewing from Edgeworth's perspective.
In the games, we never seen Edgeworth's office before, or hardly him outside the courtroom with the exception of Dual Destinies and some other games, so that's always nice.
carlos12 (2016-04-11 15:34:18)i might see it, because the game is awesome

As you guys may or may not know, the Ace Attorney anime recently came out with the first episode. And I thought it was... alright. Definitely going to keep watching as more and more episodes come out.
If you haven't seen it, its up on Crunchyroll for paid users, or you can watch it free April 9th.
These are very minor spoilers, especially if you played other Ace Attorney games, so I'll keep my thoughts in a spoiler just in case.
One of my complaints is, its too short. It's 28 minutes long, 4 or 5 minutes being the intro and ending. When I first played the game, I felt like I was spending hours upon hours trying to solve a case, mostly from reading. But the anime doesn't create suspense unless it's at the very end. It seem as if Phoenix doesn't need time to think, like he already knew beforehand.
Also, of course this is being shown in Japan only, and therefore will have Japanese dubs, but I personally LOVE Wright's English voice. Adapting from the English voice to the Japanese voice is something you do need to learn.
But, without spoiling anything, the arguments just seems like anime battles. I get that it IS a battle in your head and in the opponents, but meh. It's not great, it's not bad.
However, what I absolutely LOVE about this is the fact that the dialogue stays true to the case in the game, with a few removed and added lines.
Everything else was good or okay
So if you seen it yet, what are your thoughts?
