What strategies do you think you know about Monopoly.

Are there any better color groups than others?
Should you ever pass on buying any of the properties?
Are Utilities really as useless as everyone says.
Trading?
How much would you give away for that last property to make your monopoly?
When would you give your property away for other to make a monopoly?
Should you only trade monopoly for monopoly?
When do you prefer cash over properties?
Would you give up all your properties just for your monopoly?
Are you fine with only 2 railroads, or do you need to collect them all?
Thoughts on Boardwalk?
Should you pay immediately to get out of Jail?
Etc.!

Some of my strategies!
Buy everything in the beginning! Try to have at least once of each color group. That way you have control of who can make monopolies and for what! Even Railroads and Utilities.

Think:
What ever you own, you don't have to pay when you land, you get profits when they land on it.
What ever they own, they get paid. You have to pay them. Example: Railroad
He has Net worth $1500
You have Net worth $1500
You land on him you pay $25
You have $1475, he has $1525
$50 difference! and he gets profits from other landing on it! Profits you don't get.

Example:

Your opponent can have the other brown, but he has to give away 2 other properties(ones that seem you don't need that way you have more trade potential). You get 2 bigger things just so your opponent can make a monopoly that you barely land on, and when you land on you're passing go, collecting $200, and the most you have to give is $450.. just losing $250.

Ask for more than what you would really need in trades. Test them! How badly do they want it?

Examples:
You already have a monopoly \/
You have the missing property for you opponent to make a monopoly.. Offer it to him but for more than what you really think is fair, but reasonable. Let him counter offer you. You deny if you think you can get more than what he wants to give, you don't need it as badly as he needs it. Play with his mind.

Offer a too good a deal to your opponent only if what you're going to get will let you do a better trade.

Example: Your opponent has the red monopoly, and a mortgaged railroad, but not enough cash. You offer him a nice amount of cash for that mortgaged green(you already have one of the greens).. now you have 2 greens.. and you offer them to that sucker, who will offer you the missing light blue, but he has to give some money too.

I'll add more later.

example: you have all the crap buildings, and the car piece. whatcha do is pick up hookers and trade them to your friends
Every time I see a gun, it makes me think about just how petty you are. -- It blows my ing mind, Yeah, It blows my ing mind.

Try buying everything you land on, especially ones of the same color, to build properties. You should roll the dice to get out of jail, it usually works for me. But if it doesn't it's not that much to get out anyway.
That's my strategies, anyway. I don't have that many.
I am the lizard king, I can do anything.

Buy the expensive ones at first. Ten go to cheap ones. Here, you're increasing the chances of someone paying rent.
Nutsy (2016-01-12 13:07:08)
The one time I actually finished a game of Monopoly I bought all the railroads and people conveniently landed on them.
Edgee (2016-01-12 17:14:19)
Naira, you don't decide what you buy first.

Crush42 (2016-01-12 17:48:52)
My strategy includes burning the board, making other players promise to never play it again, and we all go to play Smash Bros. instead. Or Mario Party, if I never want to see them again.

The ass holes over at Hasbro thought it was a good idea to replace the iron with a damn cat. them. OG Monopoly is way better than modern Monopoly.
You won't see me here, but you might find me if you look in the right places.

I use the hat to use RNG Manipulation so I can get Chance cards to gain money.
