I will have to say that in general censorship is starting to lower. It's definitely noticeable when it comes to shows that come on at night (like at 6-8PM) and they're usually popular. Music is one of the other examples.

The more acceptable uses for "adult" language is to use them as expressions. They can also be used in a literal sense (yes they all do have a meaning).

As for why they're considered inappropriate? It can be the meaning, but then again there's the "s word" and that literally means crap but in older English.
You don't really want a minor to say the F-boom (with them potentially not understanding what it means like if they picked it up from someone) and you knowing that means banging someone, do you?


While I may not be answering the question, hopefully what I'm saying here would make it sound as if it isn't too sensitive.

I've actually been banned once for reposting a video from YouTube of a podcast after some mod kept removing it. I swear the forum mods are tighter than a nun.
