I'm starting to get annoyed by them. Because of Isis. But I don't judge, they're fine.
Ayy Lmao.

What Applebucker said. You should probably close it. But I'm best friends with Muslims, they are very nice and have a very nice family. I can't really judge a religion as a whole, though.
I am the lizard king, I can do anything.

There doesn't seem to be any rule about not having any Religious discussions, at least according to the new forum rules.
As this is controversial topic, I'm trusting you guys to not cause any trouble here.

There has never been a rule against religious/controversial topics...just keep it civil.

Islam is more of a government than a religion.

I feel pretty bad for them. People seem to only talk about the "bad" Muslims.

^ Because it's a relevant topic.

The biggest problem with it is that in the countries where it is the dominant religion-they haven't figured out the concept of separation of church and state. That's why all the middle eastern countries are crap holes rife with human rights violations.

And no, the average Muslim is a not a bloodthirsty terrorist, but I must say based on my experience, that it is quite disturbing how many of them hate Jewish people and seem to think Israel is some kind of tyrant country. No, YOUR country sucks, Israel is an oasis of freedom surrounded by neighbors who want to blow it up. Give me a break.

And um, no, it is definitely not a peaceful religion. It was spread by the sword, and unlike Christianity it doesn't have a New Testament to balance things out. Also sexist. Woman get treated like dirt, no two ways about it. Keep in mind it gets watered down here in America/Europe but in the Middle East woman have much less rights.

I don't mind if anyone believes in Islam. Have any religion or belief you want, but don't try to make me believe what you believe.

There's people who love to say that the Koran says that Muslims should convert all to Islam and kill anyone who doesn't believe in Allah. Honestly, it's words in a book, and these bigots that think all Muslims follow what the Koran says needs to be reminded that the Bible has some pretty controversial ideologies in it, whether it's present in the New Testament or not.

The Bible says that a husband can kill his children and beat his wife if they are to speak back against him.
You won't see me here, but you might find me if you look in the right places.

^ The difference between the Qur'an and the Bible is that the Bible has a new covenant, which disregards many of the old testament laws, such as blood sacrifices and putting sinners to death, as well as more minor practices (practicing old testament ritual/laws is now considered sinful). As far as I'm aware (correct me if I'm wrong, please), Muslims don't acknowledge a divine event that officially changed their brutal laws...instead, their laws are changed by personal interpretations of the Qur'an, which is why some Muslims are more extreme than others.

This statement is incorrect. Plenty of predominantly Muslim countries including Indonesia, for example, have democratic governments complete with sets of equal rights. Religious equality included. It's important that you don't paint every Muslim country with the same brush in light of recently global conflict. Muslim countries like Indonesia, UAE, and Qatar differ greatly from countries like Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan. Just make sure not generalize when proving your point.

Play nice, kids.
