I know, I know, I'm sorry. But I can't find a solution anywhere! I looked it up AND I made a Steam forum post about it, and nothing. Nobody seems to know or care about the issue. I would've posted in gaming, but even Misc. is near dead.

But I figured, I know a few people on here that might know how to help, so it's worth a try.

My steam post:
I play on LAN or Local Network with my brother. He joins fine, but after about ten minutes, text in the upper right corner tells him that he's having connection problems... What? It's over LAN, how is that possible? My router is right in front of me, and it shows no signs of issues. It doesn't happen with any other game, or any other server. Even the console shows no errors.

The only reason this is a huge issue is because we have slow computers and I have loads of mods, so it takes forever to reconnect.

Does anybody know what the issue is? I'd really appreciate help.

OS: Windows 7 Ultimate
Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3800+ 2.00 GHz
RAM: 3.87 Usable GB

maybe you just need a better computer, that might solve it. But i don't get how anything is wrong with it over lan, even My  lan connections with my bro go smooth, and my internet is slow as

But it happens either way. If I'm playing on his game, I'll be disconnected. If he's playing on mine, he'll be disconnected.

My brother doesn't own Garry's Mod, so I have to share my library with him via "Steam Shared Library". So, I thought, "hey, we can finally play together"! Nope. Whenever I opened the game while he was playing, it told him "ScootsRiver needs his shared game back, you have _ minutes left of playtime". ing bull. It's a digital copy, not streamed content, or a disc. So, to prevent steam from knowing that I was playing, I have to enable offline mode. You're probably thinking it's Steam trying to prevent us from both playing at the same time. No, we're playing offline.

tl;dc Won't work; playing offline.
