(This is basically a one-shot for an idea I had)

Rose pedals were left all over the floor with no one to clean it. The flower was just lying there, motionless.

Devin had a nice dinner, chicken with potatoes, a simple meal. Once he finished the meal, he cleaned the dishes and took a shower. Devin's living room only had one table and four chairs. It was pretty dark to see but Devin seemed absolutely fine there.

He headed back downstairs and wondered, "Perhaps I should have someone over." He pondered on this question for a few seconds and decided he would. A car began pulling into his driveway several minutes later.

Devin's kitchen was pretty shiny, everything was perfectly organized, the fridge wasn't terribly large but it was fine for one person. His television appeared to be a flat screen, with HD resolution as well. He had left it on.

Devin was talking to his friend, Chad. "I'm sorry, I can't hang out right now." Chad said frowning. Chad let himself out of the door and Devin went back to watch TV. Chad drove away, and so, a window of opportunity opened up, the door was unlocked, so I let myself in.
