Do you tend to purposely get yourself involved with bull on the internet? If you do, relax, because this might piss you off a little.

People that know me might know that I'm not a big fan of people about things they have no reason to complain about. Bronies are a good example of this, but I feel I've complained enough about that. GTA? Great example. There is tons of controversial themes in this franchise, but is there a reason to complain? If you think so, there's a very good chance it won't end well for you. People will get angry and you'll be a primary target for the people you pissed off.

But that would imply you won in a battle against Rockstar Games in the first place, which is unlikely on it's own.

But Levi, if that's the case, why does this matter???

Because people need to stop.

Just enjoy your life while you have it.

Don't get yourself too involved with what you take issue with, unless it's a legit threat to you.

This doesn't even need a Too Long; Did not Read!. If somebody can't read this much, they shouldn't even try engaging in conversations over controversial topics.

Typically controversial topics are over moral rights and wrongs, especially considering the GTA example. I don't think there's anything wrong with spending effort to argue about "bettering society"...if it wasn't for arguments over controversial subjects, women probably wouldn't be allowed to vote, and gays couldn't marry. It's important to argue sometimes, even for "minor" topics such as GTA and/or other graphic media which arguably promotes violence and immoral behaviour (which damages societies). Yes, people get angry, passionate, and sometimes hateful due to differing opinions; and yes, sometimes they waste this energy on trivial things like "barbie dolls are too unrealistic" or "Bronies need a life"...also, ranting to a stranger online probably isn't going to do much, however if it wasn't for debating and forcing sharing opinions, we would hardly grow logically or learn to develop our own educated opinions.

Generally speaking, I agree...some people get obsessed with blowing off steam on a seemingly endless debate, and with the media throwing politics, crimes, and propaganda at us, we hardly think about just stopping and enjoying what good things we do have. However, I still think the seemingly negative affects of arguments is actually beneficial to our growth of character.
