An Abridged Series is typically an anime or TV-show that has been cut and fan-dubbed.

I've only seen a few Dragon Ball Z abridged...it's as boring as the original

Mine were just examples, but Hellsing abridged is pretty good. It's only releases once a year though. I like how tfs makes it seem like the actual show at times.
