For hip-pop, I'd choose 1990-1999. Today's hip-pop is like "gunz gunz $$$$$ #cocaine4lyfe yolo prostitute booty butt bird muthaa". I can't decide Alternative. The 90's and 2000 Alternative is pretty good.

I'd personally say 2000-2015. The newer ones are bad, but tne ones from like 08 and so were good. At least, what I've listened to.
