As the sun rose high in the Julius region, the rays lit up the entire area, from the large Plaza City to where we will be looking at to start off with, the small town of Johnsonville.

The town had a population of around 16, most likely because it was easy to get money in Plaza City, plus everything was dirt-cheap. However, Johnsonville was a nice town to live in. Lots of wilderness for the Pokémon, and flat land for building. Pokémon could be pests, however. Lucky for the citizens of Johnsonville, surrounding them was tons of hills. The only way to get out was by a train, that stopped in Johnsonville every week, then could be ridden until Route 1, where it stopped and then moved on to the nearby islands.

That morning in Plaza City, a battle was about to begin. They were common, considering being a professional trainer had the highest salary of anything there. I remember every detail, because I was the challenger.

As I pulled out my PokéBall, my opponent chose to send out Raticate. Easy peasy, I told myself. Get him out with Pikachu, then be prepared for anything.
