War on our own soil
A small fictional story by Chris (chriz)

Chapter 1
It was a nice calm afternoon, in a small city in Texas. Life was going on as normal as it always was. Children were running about, men working, women shopping, when all of a sudden a small explosion was heard in the distance. People were soon looking about seeing if anyone else knew what had happened. Soon, several more explosions occurred, closer and louder. Until you could visibly see the missiles shooting straight for them. For 35 miles, the earth was scorched black, buildings collapsed, and life was no where to be seen. The United states government reacted quickly. Soon, Russia claimed responsibility, boasting of it to China and Korea. Soon, the united states reacted quickly, and quietly. “We want you and your team to move in and send intel so we know where to strike.” The Command sergeant major of the army instructed Army ranger team “Overture”. “Alright boys, let’s kick some Russian ass!” “YEAH!!!” They soon all said.
Now in many American homes, Americans were watching what President Obama was about to say. He now came on television, “Ladies and gentlemen of The United States of America, we have been attacked. We will act quickly, swiftly, and strongly. We must not lose hope, faith, or determination. We must come together as a nation, and destroy the enemy. This brings me to what im talking to you all about. The United States has, withdrawn all relationships with Russia, and have declared war on Russia and their new alliance with China, North Korea, and Iran. They are now known as The United World Union. We have been joined by the United Kingdom, Germany, and Canada. France has stated to deliver supplies to us and the Allies as we are being called, but no troops. Ladies and gentlemen, this is World war 3. A mandatory draft has been set up. Thank you, and God bless.”
Many Americans supported the idea and soon joined in on the draft. More attacks from Russia came, including some on the UK, and Germany. Canada, had sent their navy and had attacked the Russian’s northern coastline. Killing thousands. 3 of their ships had been sunk by Russian fighter jets. The remaining ten soon sailed about 45 miles from the Russian coast to not be detected. An American helicopter soon landed on one of them. On it was Team Overture. The fleet would sail to the shore and provide any cover necessary. A large British fleet soon came and aided. Sending in jets and more helicopters to land the team safely. A small British task force was also being sent in to aid the small group of Americans.
