Invalid Nesting

I was designing my profile and realized that my detect codes for 3ds and PC were giving me a nesting error. The reason I was adding detect was so my PC profile would have a Gif Background, while 3ds would have something simple. So, why do I get this error?

Invalid nesting error at tag #detect (phase "detect=(.+)" when parsing
[ spoiler=Codes]
[ detect=pc][/ detect]
[ detect=3ds][/ detect]
[/ spoiler]
### end of error report. extra information that may or may not be useful to developers: *IBV*detect*OCTTWO*2*OCT*2*CCT*2*END OF EXTRA INFO*

I believe it may be the Spoiler. I don't think Detects and Spoilers agree with each other very much.

Yeah, you can't really have a [detect] code inside a spoiler. I don't know why. It's just like that.

I'll leave this open in case I'm wrong.

You're not. An invalid nesting error means that you are putting a code inside another code that is incompatible. You can not put detects inside spoilers, or color tags inside a box. Sorry, mate.
I'm an open book, there are few questions I won't answer honestly, no matter how embarrassing.
