The (anti)Hipster Thread
Mephistopheles (2014-10-02 20:16:07)The term "hipster" is like an inescapable paradox.
I hate hipsters, there are too many of them and they only pretend to not like stuff. But doesn't thinking that make me a hipster? And then me not wanting to be one makes me one all over again.
Depends on definition.

Mephistopheles (2014-10-02 20:20:45)We're talking actual hipsters. From before people even knew what hipsters were and hipster wasn't a word.

PhoenixDawn (2014-10-02 20:22:13)Hipsters are okay until a certain point.

Nutsy (2014-10-02 23:46:39)Hipsters are all trying too hard to be different. In the end, they're all just doing the same thing.

Are you a hipster? Do you love/Hate things because it's mainstream? (that is bad) However, there is a difference between pretending to like mainstream things(Hipster), and actually liking things that are
mainstream.(Not a hipster). Do NOT pretend to like/hate things just because "everyone is doing it". That is dumb.
Pewdiepie said he hated FNAF so that is going to become a trend
Another trend... Beliebers... yeah. I personally am not one but if you pretend to hate an artist, no matter who it is, that is dumb (I say hate, and not hate/dislike, because the trend is more hating his music than liking it).
And my least favorite, believe it or not is Bronies and anti-bronies. There is nothing I hate more than when people pretend to hate bronies or pretend to be bronies just to put a label on themselves or to get brony or anti-brony friends. It does not make you "cool", you will not "fit in", just stop.
