D3000 is only for spam. Let's not forget the ban is permanent, deleting all comments and permanent bans would be a bit harsh for a bit of rulebreaking? Right?

If that was the case, then many people in the forums would be perma'd.

It's like permanently banning people for breaking rules in the chats.
