Our whole solar system wouldn't have a center of gravity if the sun just "vanished".

I'm pretty sure NOTHING would survive the deep freeze that ensues. And that's if we don't get destroyed by Earth getting thrown out of its orbital.

Besides, our Solar System wouldn't even exist anymore and every planet would wonder the entire universe in a straight line forever until it hits something.
