A world without the backspace?
It's called "before the 1900s".

Someone tell me if this is supposed to be some sort of event or a game.

Even if the world never had a backspace, it wouldn't be a problem. Just highlight, right-click and cut or delete. Or just click the delete button.

If we didn't have a backspace button, delete would probably replace it on mobile devices. Nothing of importance will be lost.
